Rev. marion sailor

Hello. I greet you in the name of the Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you for taking a moment to "meet the pastor."

I was born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut. I wear my alma mater "Huskies" attire as a proud graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. In 1988, I left Connecticut on a job promotion believing it was a step in my climb up the corporate ladder and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. It was in Cincinnati that I met a person who would change the course of my life forever, the Lord Jesus Christ. It was there the "renewing of my mind" in understanding who I am in Jesus Christ and my purpose for living on earth began.

In 1992, I relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and later became a member of Christ the King Baptist Church in Dacula, Georgia. It was there I met the love of my life, Bishop W. Ron Sailor, Sr. He was such a dynamic, brilliant, humorous, articulate man who loved the Lord Jesus and people. He loved being a pastor. In his 18 year tenure as pastor at Christ the King, the church witnessed a substantial growth. The membership grew from approx. 25 members to at one point over 3,000 members. Under his leadership new ministries were added, the campus grew, buildings were added and our visibility in the community increased. His name preceded him in many circles. Bishop was a great storyteller. He spent 30 years in broadcasting, television and radio, in which he earned seven Emmy awards and countless other awards and recognitions.

Bishop was called home to glory on October 6, 2013. A great part of who I am as a pastor and person are a result of my years in marriage and under Bishop's leadership. I thank God to have experienced such a love relationship and partnership. It was God ordained.

I was licensed to preach in 2000 and ordained in 2005. In 2009, I became Co-Pastor alongside my husband. In February, 2013, I was installed as pastor.

I love to teach & preach the Word of God. I will never retire from being a student in the Word of God. In 2011, I received a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Rice University, Atlanta, Ga. My future aspiration is to obtain a Doctorate.

Our journey through life is a journey of faith. One of the leaps of faith in my journey was the launching of a weekly TV broadcast. In November 2012, “Living the Way with Marion Sailor,” aired on Atlanta’s WATC TV57. It is my dream that with the leading and partnership of the Holy Spirit as well as other faithful partners, Living the Way will become not just a local broadcast but an international voice of the Holy Spirit into many nations.

I strive every single day to be surrendered to the Holy Spirit that my walk will please God, represent the light of the Lord and His Spirit dwelling within me. I'm passionate about teaching the Word of God that others may know the love of God and walk triumphantly in the finished work of Jesus Christ at Calvary. It is my hope that when I too must follow the path of my husband, my children, Khaleah and Chanz, the members of Christ the King Baptist Church and those nearest and dearest to me would say, "she not only heard the Word of God, she lived the Word of God."

Well, I hope you have some insight into who I am. Hopefully, one day soon I will meet you. Until then, be blessed.

Pastor Marion Sailor (affectionately called Pastor Mimi)
